- Partnership with INL: Volta Metals Ltd. has signed a Material Transfer Agreement with the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) to conduct advanced metallurgical testing on rare earth elements and gallium from the Springer Deposit in Ontario, Canada.
- Strategic Objectives: INL will assess gallium recoverability and rare earth element processing methods to support North America’s domestic critical mineral supply chain, especially for defense, electronics, and AI technologies.
- Springer Resource Estimate: The Springer Deposit hosts a historic NI 43-101 mineral resource of 4.167 million tonnes at 1.073% TREO (indicated) and 12.73 million tonnes at 1.119% TREO (inferred), using a 0.9% cutoff.
- High Gallium Potential: The deposit includes high-grade gallium, now strategically critical following China’s December 2024 ban on gallium exports. INL’s work will determine its mineralogical deportment and recovery feasibility.
