Marcy Kiesman, CPA, CMA, is CEO and Chair of Quantum Critical Metals Corp. (TSXV: LEAP | OTCQB: ATOXF | FSE: 86A1), where she is leading the company’s evolution toward critical minerals recovery and processing. Her strategy connects Canadian exploration assets with metallurgical research and industry partnerships to address a central challenge for Western supply chains: developing reliable new sources of the materials required by semiconductors, aerospace, defense and advanced electronics.
At Quantum, Kiesman has made the recovery of gallium and rubidium from muscovite mica a central development priority. The company’s flagship NMX East Project in Québec anchors this work, alongside the Discovery Project and silver exploration at Babine South in British Columbia. By investigating a mineral often treated as waste in mining operations, Quantum is pursuing an unconventional source of critical materials and evaluating opportunities that could extend beyond its own properties.
Under her leadership, Quantum reported 93% gallium recovery from preliminary bench-scale metallurgical testing on NMX East mica and engaged the University of British Columbia to advance hydrometallurgical work on rubidium recovery. The company also entered into a memorandum of understanding with Nusano, a U.S. physics-based technology company, to evaluate North American refining opportunities, including a potential hub in Utah.
Kiesman is developing Quantum’s business around an opportunity that extends beyond its own mineral properties: including applying new recovery methods to mica from other mining operations. The company is evaluating third-party feedstocks and the potential for modular processing systems at mine sites, with longer-term opportunities for processing partnerships. Her approach seeks to turn overlooked mineral material into a source of strategic supply for North American and allied industries.
Kiesman has led the company and its predecessors as CEO since April 2010 and has served on its board since 2006. As CFO of Atocha Resources Inc. (then TSXV: ATT), she helped manage the regulatory and corporate requirements of its 2009 initial public offering. She subsequently guided the company’s evolution into Durango Resources Inc. (then TSXV: DGO) in February 2013 and Quantum Critical Metals in March 2025, providing continuity of leadership through multiple commodity cycles.
A Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant, Kiesman is Principal of Steveston Finance Inc. She previously served as CFO of Opawica Explorations Inc. (TSXV: OPW | OTCQB: OPWEF | FSE: OE5) from August 2021 to August 2025 and of Generation Uranium Inc. (CSE: GEN | OTCQB: GENRF | FSE: W85) from January 2023 to July 2025. She also served as interim CFO of Molten Metals Corp. (CSE: MOLT | OTC: MLTNF | FSE: Y44) in 2022, during its August 2022 listing on the Canadian Securities Exchange. Earlier in her career, she served as CFO of Electra Gold Ltd. (then TSXV: ELT), supporting a producing industrial minerals operation on northern Vancouver Island.
She completed the Diploma in Accounting at the University of British Columbia and CPA Canada’s Resilient Leadership and Advanced Strategic Management programs. She brings this financial and management foundation to Quantum’s ambition to develop new sources of critical minerals for North American and allied industries.
